Sharad Tak
CEO
Focuses on strategy and growth with more than 40 years of experience as an entrepreneur in successfully creating, scaling and selling several businesses in various industry verticals.
Co-founded ST Tissue and ST Paper through the purchase and turnaround of a paper mill in Oconto Falls, WI in 2007 and subsequent acquisition of idle mill assets in Franklin, VA from International Paper in 2012.
Previously, Mr. Tak grew his first business, ST Systems Corporation, a provider of programing and systems integration services to government agencies, to $70 million in sales with 1,100 employees. Mr. Tak sold STX to Hughes Aircraft in 1991.
Mr. Tak’s other ventures around the world include E-Com Systems, which develops and implements advanced approaches to conduct business-to-business transactions online and Nam International, which operates three luxury properties inBermuda.
Past ventures include ST Power Systems, which built and operated a 250-megawatt thermal power plant in India; Orange Technologies, a global provider of IT solutions to government agencies; and Tak Communications, a group of nine network affiliated television stations and three FM radio stations.
Undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from IIT Mumbai and M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Buffalo.
Alap Shah
President
Energy leader with extensive experience in the management and development of gas and power infrastructure projects for more than 20 years.
Prior to ST LNG, through his role as Managing Director of FLNG Development, New Fortress Energy, Alap conceptualized and executed FAST LNG program involving multiple liquefaction trains on various marine infrastructures from 2021-2024. The first train of 1.4 MTPA is installed and commissioned at offshore Altamira, Mexico on jack up rigs and currently producing above nameplate rating. Prior to this project, he was involved on Golar Hilli and Golar Gimi FLNG projects through Black & Veatch Corporation.
Alap is a registered professional engineer (PE) in state of Nebraska.
Himkar Tak
Vice President
Himkar Tak performs multi-faceted work for ST LNG with a hands-on focus on Marketing, Communications, Technology Interface, and overall Project Execution.
From 2015-2018 Himkar worked on the floor of the ST Tissue facilities in Franklin, Virginia and Duluth, Minnesota as a Process Area Technician, learning the manufacturing processes from Fiber-to-Roll.
Prior to that he developed varied experience in Film/TV Production with credits spanning Writer, Producer, Director, Assistant Director, Production Manager, Locations Scout, building award-winning, and critically acclaimed films and commercials from the ground up.
He holds Bachelor’s degrees in Information Technology and English from Syracuse University and a Master’s degree from the Maurice Kanbar Institute of Film and Television from NYU-Tisch.
